Its Engineering team develops and maintains global digital products and services, championing reusable capabilities, effective engineering practices, innovation, and secure, accessible technology solutions.
Provide technical leadership and mentoring to backend engineers, promoting coding best practices, quality standards, collaboration, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement. Contribute to recruitment activities and identify opportunities for cost optimisation and efficiency. Plan and deliver backend engineering projects with product managers, stakeholders, and business partners. Design, code, review, test, and document backend solutions, adopting emerging technologies and delivering against project milestones. Ensure backend systems meet security, risk, compliance, and data privacy requirements by identifying vulnerabilities and maintaining monitoring and logging mechanisms. Incorporate customer feedback and analyse system performance and usage patterns with customer success teams, data analysts, and business analysts. Identify opportunities for continuous optimisation. Develop analytics and reporting capabilities. Prepare reports and presentations on engineering performance, progress, and insights for stakeholders.
