Job summary

UST in Poland is seeking an experienced Software Design & Development Engineer to develop and maintain backend applications, APIs, and engineering tools supporting client validation programs.

You will build Python-based backend services, REST APIs with Flask, and manage CI/CD pipelines in Linux environments, using Docker and PostgreSQL for data storage and integration. Strong testing and documentation skills are required.

Qualifications

• Strong Python backend development experience.
• Experience building RESTful services with Flask or similar frameworks.
• Experience with PostgreSQL-based data-driven applications.
• Solid Linux development environment knowledge.
• Hands-on Docker and containerized apps experience.
• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with GitHub and/or GitLab workflows.
• Experience debugging and fixing software defects.
• Ability to write clear technical documentation.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Python-based backend applications and tools.
• Design, develop, and maintain REST APIs and Flask-based services.
• Implement new software features based on project requirements.
• Investigate and resolve defects and technical issues.
• Develop automation utilities supporting validation programs.
• Create and maintain unit, integration, functional, and end-to-end tests.
• Develop and support CI/CD pipelines and automated delivery workflows.
• Configure and maintain Linux development environments.
• Build and maintain Docker images for apps and tooling.
• Develop and maintain PostgreSQL databases and integrations.
• Prepare OS images required for validation environments.
• Publish and manage software artifacts.
• Support GitHub/GitLab development workflows.
• Create and maintain clear technical documentation.
