SwingDev—a hippo company is the Polish branch of a fast-growing InsurTech product company – Hippo Insurance. What will you do?

• You’ll partner closely with product, engineering, and business teams across multiple domains to drive meaningful projects from concept to delivery.


• You’ll design, build, and maintain reliable software solutions that power critical parts of the business.


• You’ll actively shape our software architecture, bringing your ideas and expertise into technical discussions.


• You’ll work closely with product managers and QA engineers to ensure we deliver software of the highest quality.


• You’ll balance maintaining existing systems with developing new features, ensuring stability while pushing innovation.


• You’ll lead some team initiatives and technical projects.

We might be a match if you…

• Have 6+ years of hands‑on software development experience, with a bit more focus on backend, but you know your stuff on frontend as well.


• Are proficient in TypeScript and NestJS, React.


• Have experience working with large and complex databases, as well as experience with data warehouses.


• Have experience with building React applications from the ground up with performant state management.


• Have experience with NextJS.


• Understand and apply software development best practices (from clean code to testing and maintainability).


• Take ownership of your work, showing accountability and a drive to deliver impactful solutions.


• Have proven record of leading other technical members.


• Are a great partner for product, analytics, and business teams.


• Actively participate in discussions, sharing ideas and contributing to team decisions.


• Seek feedback and mentorship for continuous growth.


• Have a great command of English (written & spoken) and Polish, but also excellent communication skills in general.


• Are available to work in the afternoon hours, including occasional evening meetings due to U.S. time zone collaboration (we respect work‑life balance but prioritize effective communication).
