Job summary

Bayer Warsaw is seeking a Security Monitoring Platform Developer (Azure Developer) to design and implement Azure-native automation for phishing analysis and incident handling within the CS Monitoring squad. You will build applications on top of the platform, integrating external security services and maintaining complex data pipelines.

The role requires strong Python development, expertise in Azure PaaS, and experience in IT security.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on development experience in Python, including Azure Functions, async processing, and API integrations.
• Experience with Azure PaaS services: Function Apps, Logic Apps, Service Bus, Key Vault, Event Hub, Application Insights.
• Solid understanding of REST APIs, JSON, and data serialization formats (STIX, MISP event format).
• Experience with SQL databases and data pipeline patterns (Azure SQL, ADX/KQL).
• Understanding of Git-based workflows, IaaC (Terraform), and CI/CD (GitHub Actions).
• Experience in IT Security, SIEM, or related field—threat lifecycle and detection concepts.
• University degree or equal experience in CS/IT/Cyber Security.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills (English required, German a plus).

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the Checkmail automation pipeline—Azure-native app for phishing analysis and escalation.
• Implement MISP2Sentinel connector to push IoCs to Sentinel Threat Intelligence Table.
• Create Python Azure Functions for SQL-based data replication across Azure SQL, ADX, and Sentinel.
• Design complex security incident handling logic in Microsoft Sentinel with multi-step enrichment workflows.
• Integrate external security APIs and services into the SIEM platform with robust error handling and retries.
• Follow IaaC deployment via GitHub Actions, Terraform, and CSM repositories.
• Ensure reliability with structured logging, health Monitoring, and Application Insights instrumentation.
• Document components and integrate into RBAC and deployment model.
