Sii Poland is seeking an experienced Data Engineer to join our Data & Analytics Competence Center in Kraków. You will design and build modern data platforms, integrating enterprise data sources to enable advanced analytics and reporting on Azure.

You will work with Microsoft Fabric, Data Lake, Databricks, ETL/ELT processes, and Azure services to create scalable, secure data solutions and mentor junior engineers while staying current with Azure technologies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in Azure data engineering and data platform.
• Proven expertise in Microsoft Fabric implementation projects.
• Advanced programming skills in Python and SQL.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Fabric, PySpark, Azure DWH, Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake, Azure SQL Database.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps.
• Knowledge of networking, security, identity management, and serverless computing in Azure.
• Experience in scripting and automation using PowerShell, ARM templates, or similar tools.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Fluent Polish required.
• Residing in Poland required.

Responsibilities

• Develop, deploy, and maintain data solutions on an enterprise-level platform for reporting and analytics.
• Work with structured data across financial, manufacturing, procurement, sales & marketing, pricing.
• Design and implement scalable, robust, and secure data solutions on Azure using Microsoft Fabric, Data Lake, Databricks, ETL/ELT.
• Create and maintain efficient data models and schemas to support business needs.
• Optimize data solutions for performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency.
• Ensure security best practices and compliance across Azure architecture.
• Provide ongoing support for data-related issues and troubleshoot promptly.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement data solutions aligned with business goals.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers, promoting learning and excellence.
• Stay up to date with the latest Azure technologies and best practices.
