Job summary

Luxoft Poland in Kraków is seeking an experienced Backend Engineer to help migrate and modernize securitization platforms on Microsoft Azure. You will build microservices, design REST APIs, and implement cloud-native solutions with AKS orchestration.

You will work with Terraform IaC, Docker containers, and CI/CD pipelines, collaborating across trading, risk, and regulatory systems to ensure high availability and reliability.

Qualifications

• Strong object-oriented programming with Java 11+.
• Experience with Spring Boot and related ecosystems.
• Building and running REST APIs and message-driven services.
• Experience with containerized applications and cloud-native patterns.
• Azure cloud experience including IaC, AKS, and storage solutions.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools in workflows.
• Proficiency with GitLab or GitHub and IDEs (IntelliJ/VS Code).

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services in a microservices setup.
• Create and enhance RESTful APIs and message-driven components for securitization workflows.
• Develop and deploy cloud-native apps on Azure, using AKS-based orchestration.
• Define infrastructure as code with Terraform.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines and contribute to GitLab/GitHub workflows.
• Integrate with messaging systems (Kafka, IBM MQ, Tibco EMS).
• Collaborate on scalable system design and observability practices.
• Develop and optimize database interactions (Azure SQL, Oracle, Sybase).
• Write unit, integration, and end-to-end tests.
