Job summary

Volkswagen Financial Services (Poland) seeks an experienced Azure Cloud Architect to design and govern our multi-hybrid cloud environment.

You will collaborate with security, infrastructure, and applications teams to deliver scalable cloud solutions across Azure Public Cloud, Local, and Stack Hub, and guide migrations while enforcing governance and IaC standards.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years designing enterprise-scale Azure solutions.
• Experience with Azure Landing Zones and Enterprise Scale Architecture.
• Hands-on with hybrid cloud including Azure Local and Stack Hub.
• Knowledge of Azure networking, security, IAM, governance, and resilience.
• Experience with IaC (Terraform and/or Bicep).
• Experience leading or supporting cloud migrations and modernization programs.
• Regulatory, security, and compliance knowledge in financial services.

Job description

We are looking for an experienced Azure Cloud Architect to join our growing Cloud Platform team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, governing, and evolving our Azure-based cloud ecosystem, ensuring secure, scalable, and automated platform services that support business-critical applications.

You will play a key role in shaping our multi-hybrid cloud strategy, collaborating with infrastructure, security, and application teams to deliver modern cloud solutions across Azure Public Cloud, Azure Local, and Azure Stack Hub environments.

Main Tasks

• Define, maintain, and promote the target architecture for the organization's multi-hybrid cloud environment.
• Design and implement scalable, secure, and resilient cloud solutions based on Microsoft Azure best practices.
• Drive cloud migration and modernization initiatives, including the transition from Azure Stack Hub to Azure Local and Azure Public Cloud.
• Establish architecture standards, governance models, and cloud design principles.
• Support the onboarding of new applications and workloads to the target cloud platform.
• Conduct architecture reviews and provide technical guidance to project and engineering teams.
Collaborate with security, networking, and operations teams to ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory requirements.
• Define and promote Infrastructure as Code standards using Terraform and/or Bicep.
• Support the continuous improvement of cloud platform services, focusing on automation, standardization, and operational excellence.
• Act as a trusted advisor to stakeholders, translating business requirements into sustainable cloud solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience designing and implementing enterprise-scale cloud solutions on Microsoft Azure.
• Strong expertise in Azure Landing Zones and Enterprise Scale Architecture.
• Hands-on experience with hybrid cloud environments, including Azure Public Cloud, Azure Local, and Azure Stack Hub.
• Deep understanding of Azure networking, security, identity and access management (Microsoft Entra ID), governance, and resilience concepts.
• Proven experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform and/or Bicep).
• Experience leading or supporting cloud migration and modernization programs.
• Knowledge of regulatory, security, and compliance requirements within enterprise environments, preferably in the financial services sector.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, and consulting skills.
• Professional proficiency in English and Polish
• Nice to have: experience working in regulated industries, particularly financial services.
