Job summary

Williams Lea is seeking an AWS Platform Engineer to design, implement and operate scalable AWS infrastructure using code-first approaches. You will automate deployments, manage multi-account environments, and optimize costs while ensuring security and compliance across services such as EC2, ECS, EKS, Lambda, RDS and more.

You will build robust CI/CD pipelines, implement serverless architectures, and monitor systems with CloudWatch and related tools.

Qualifications

• Experience designing and implementing AWS infrastructure using code-first tooling.
• Strong background in CI/CD and automated deployments.
• Proficiency with Terraform, CDK, CloudFormation, and related IaC tools.
• Hands-on with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes).
• Scripting skills in Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Knowledge of security hardening and cost optimization in AWS.

Responsibilities

• Deploy and manage AWS infrastructure using code-first tooling (Terraform, CDK, CloudFormation).
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines with Bitbucket Pipelines and CodePipeline.
• Implement automated testing and security checks in deployment pipelines.
• Manage multi-account AWS environments and DR/backup strategies.
• Monitor, secure, and optimize serverless and containerized workloads.
