Job summary

BorgWarner is seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE) to join our quality team in Poland. You will drive supplier quality performance in automotive projects and act as the key interface between suppliers and internal stakeholders to secure high-quality standards and successful product launches.

You will manage supplier quality, analyze issues with 8D/5 Why/Ishikawa, coordinate CAPA, conduct supplier audits, and support APQP/PPAP processes.

Qualifications

• Technical degree in electronics, mechanics or mechatronics.
• At least 2 years in SQE/SQA roles in automotive.
• Experience with supplier quality issues and audits.
• Familiar with APQP/PPAP processes and quality tools (8D, 5 Why, Ishikawa).
• Knowledge of IATF 16949 and ISO 9001.
• English level B2 or higher.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work in an international environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage supplier quality (SQA) in automotive projects.
• Analyze and solve quality issues using 8D, 5 Why, Ishikawa methodologies.
• Coordinate corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) at suppliers.
• Conduct supplier audits.
• Evaluate and develop suppliers (Supplier Development).
• Collaborate with Purchasing, Engineering, Production, and global suppliers.
• Support new product launches (APQP, PPAP, component implementation).
• Manage supplier changes (Supplier Change Management).
• Monitor quality KPIs (PPM, complaints, KPIs).
