The Automations and Digital Marketing Analyst will work with one of CRISIL’s clients, a Global Private Equity Firm based in New York City, supporting the Go-To-Market (GTM) team through a combination of AI-driven automation development and digital marketing analysis. The role focuses on designing and maintaining analytical solutions that streamline data collection, reporting, and insight generation while delivering market intelligence to support investment evaluation and value creation initiatives. This position offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge AI technologies, collaborate with global stakeholders, and contribute to high-impact analytical projects in a fast-paced international environment.

Key responsibilities:

• AI-assisted development – Design and build production analytical systems by directing large language models (Claude, GPT-class coding agents) end-to-end – architecture, implementation, debugging, and hardening – turning business requirements into working, auditable software without a dedicated engineering team.
• Tool maintenance, quality & documentation – Extend and maintain the existing automation tool that transforms raw API responses into clean DataFrames and standardized, formula-driven multi-sheet Excel reports, and parses it to populate charts, tables, flags, footnotes, and auto-generated commentary while upholding the tool’s core rendering conventions.

Digital Marketing

• Utilize marketing analytics tools (e.g., Similarweb, Semrush, Google Trends, Sensor Tower) to pull, analyse, and visualize data, transforming it into client-ready work products, typically in PowerPoint format
• Perform analysis on various aspects, including site traffic, app downloads, SEO performance of companies compared to competitors, and breakdown of digital traffic sources (direct, organic, paid)

Skills required:

• Ability to translate raw metrics into a clear competitive narrative and actionable takeaways for non-technical stakeholders.
• AI & LLM fluency: Confidently integrates AI tools into day-to-day work to accelerate analysis, automation, coding and problem-solving, while critically reviewing and validating their output.
• Technical: Python (pandas, numpy for data processing), REST APIs, git. Streamlit, Excel and PowerPoint automation is a plus.
• Excellent level of both spoken & written English is a minimum requirement.
• Excellent command of Microsoft Excel is essential; previous exposure to other Microsoft Suite (PowerPoint, Word) is required.
• Exposure to BI Tools (Tableau) is a plus.
• Interest in marketing and finance.
• Knowledge of digital marketing, with familiarity in tools such as Similarweb, Semrush, Google Trends, or Sensor Tower, is a plus, but not required.
• Track record of leadership / other awards at university is a plus, but not required.
