Job summary

MWI Animal Health is seeking an Automation Test Engineer to join an Agile sprint team in a hybrid role. You will own testing for assigned features, perform manual and automated testing, and help expand automation coverage using our framework.

You will design test cases, implement tests in C# with Playwright, support CI/CD test execution, and collaborate with developers and product owners to deliver high-quality software.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of practical software testing experience.
• Experience with manual testing and test automation in Agile environments.
• Hands-on with C# and .NET.
• Experience with Playwright or another modern browser automation tool.
• Knowledge of API, end-to-end and database testing.
• Experience working in an Agile sprint team.

Responsibilities

• Review requirements, user stories and acceptance criteria.
• Design and execute manual and automated test cases.

• Support performance and other non-functional testing when required.
• Raise, investigate and retest defects in Jira.
• Prepare reliable test data and maintain traceability.

We are hiring an **Automation Test Engineer** to join an Agile sprint team and take ownership of testing activities for assigned features. This is a hybrid role combining hands-on sprint testing with automation development. Your first priority will be to ensure that sprint work is properly tested. Once essential testing activities are complete, you will work with our Test Automation team to expand automated coverage and improve our existing framework. ### What you will do* Review requirements, user stories and acceptance criteria* Design and execute manual and automated test cases* Perform functional, API, end-to-end, integration, database, regression and UAT testing* Support performance and other non-functional testing where required* Raise, investigate and retest defects in Jira* Prepare reliable test data and maintain requirement-to-test traceability* Collaborate with developers, product owner and other sprint team members* Develop and maintain automated tests using **C# and Playwright*** Use our existing automation framework and contribute to new solutions and improvements* Support CI/CD test execution and investigate failed automated tests* Use GitHub Copilot and approved AI agents to support test design, coding, maintenance and troubleshooting* Participate in formal validation activities and prepare complete, reviewable test evidence#Ll-SS1.### What we are looking for* At least 3 years of practical software testing experience* Experience with both manual testing and test automation* Hands-on experience with **C# and .NET*** Experience with Playwright or another modern browser automation tool* Knowledge of API, end-to-end and database testing* Experience working in an Agile sprint team* Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines, Jira and Browser Developer Tools* Understanding of object-oriented programming and maintainable coding practices* Ability to organise your own work, take ownership and communicate risks clearly* Good problem-solving and debugging skills* Good written and spoken English### Nice to have* Experience with performance testing* Experience with GitHub Copilot or AI-assisted engineering tools* Experience improving automation frameworks* ISTQB Foundation Level or equivalent practical knowledge* Experience in a regulated environment* Familiarity with GxP, GCP, GDPR, formal validation or audit-ready test evidence
