Job summary

Rockwell Automation is offering a 6-month paid Automation Internship in Katowice, Poland. The program focuses on PLC programming, drives and servo drives, and HMI systems, with hands-on tasks across multiple teams. It is onsite and reports to the EMEA Competency Supervisor, launching January 4, 2027.

Active students in Automation/Robotics/Mechatronics can apply; English proficiency required and 20–32 hours per week. Two shifts (morning/afternoon) are available. Lunch Card benefit is provided.

Qualifications

• Active student status in Automation, Robotics, Mechatronics, or a related technical field.
• Basic knowledge of automation systems, including PLCs, VFDs, servo drives, sensors and industrial networks.
• At least basic skills in Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) programming.
• Knowledge of technical drawings and wiring diagrams.
• Proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
• Legal work and stay permits in Poland.
• Availability to work 20-32 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
• Willingness to work in a two-shift system (morning and afternoon).

Job Description

As an Automation Intern, you will join a 6‑month paid internship program designed for students of technical faculties who want to start their career in industrial automation. You will gain hands‑on experience with Rockwell Automation technologies while developing both technical and soft skills in a real business environment. The program focuses on developing skills in Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) programming, drives and servo drives, and Human‑Machine Interface (HMI) systems. Additionally, it covers essential soft skills. You will work as part of the Automation Internship cohort and collaborate with multiple teams across the organization while working onsite in Katowice, Poland. You will report to the EMEA Competency Supervisor. We plan to launch the winter edition of the Automation Internship program on January 4, 2027.

Your Responsibilities

The Essentials - You Will Have

The Preferred - You Might Also Have

• Knowledge of an additional foreign language
• Background in electronics or electrical engineering
• Familiarity with creating wiring diagrams
• Typically requires no previous related experience
