Job summary

Jobtailor in Warsaw is seeking an experienced IT automation engineer to design, implement, and maintain automation solutions across VMware, Azure, AWS, Google Cloud, Windows Server, and Red Hat environments.

You will develop scripts in Python, PowerShell, Bash, apply IaC and configuration management, ensure ITIL-based change processes, provide 2nd line support, and contribute to continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree (Level 6) is required.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant IT experience, including at least 2 years in a similar role or project environment.
• Strong scripting and automation experience with Python, PowerShell, and/or Bash.
• Hands-on experience with IaC and configuration management tools such as Terraform, VMware Aria Automation, and Ansible.
• Solid knowledge of VMware vSphere, Microsoft Azure, AWS, and Google Cloud.
• Experience administering Windows Server and RHEL environments.
• Experience in complex enterprise IT environments and cross-team collaboration.
• Understanding of ITIL-based service management practices (Change, Configuration, Release, ITSM).

Responsibilities

• Analyze IT processes and workflows, identify improvement opportunities, and develop automation strategies.

• Recommend and improve IT operational best practices while ensuring compliance with policies and security requirements.
• Execute infrastructure and platform changes according to ICT change management procedures.
• Provide 2nd line IT support and collaborate with 3rd line support teams and external vendors.
• Maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, and knowledge base articles.
• Participate in projects, technical workshops, and cross-functional initiatives.
• Create Proofs of Concept, evaluate emerging technologies, support continuous improvement, and perform other assigned responsibilities.
