Job summary

CMC Markets is seeking an Assistant Tax Manager to join our Warsaw office. The role focuses on corporate tax and VAT compliance across multiple jurisdictions, with responsibilities spanning data collection, returns preparation, and timely filings.

You will coordinate with external advisors, support IFRS tax reporting, and contribute to improvements in tax processes, automation, and disclosures for group and local ledgers.

Qualifications

• Be fully qualified accountant or tax advisor with ACCA/ ACA/ ATT/ CTA or equivalent qualifications.
• 3–5 years’ experience in tax compliance from either in-house or professional services.
• Knowledge of corporation tax and IFRS reporting; AlphaTax knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with external advisors and manage the preparation and filing of corporate tax returns for Australia, New Zealand, Singapore and Canada on a timely basis, with guidance from the Senior Tax Manager.
• Prepare and submit VAT returns for Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Canada and China on a timely basis, with guidance from the VAT Manager.
• Track tax liabilities and payment deadlines to ensure timely payments.
• Contribute to tax accounting and reporting improvements including automation and digitalisation.
• Prepare half-year and year-end tax provisions for countries under remit.
