Offer Description

The position involves research and development at the Department of Physics of Complex Systems, developing new methods for studying the human circulatory system, expanding the research on medical signals currently conducted at the Faculty of Physics at Warsaw University of Technology to include sensory elements and new material technologies. The employee's responsibilities will include conducting experimental research, analysing and interpreting measurement data, as well as developing technical documentation and preparing scientific publications in English. The position involves active collaboration within the research team and participation in the implementation of scientific and implementation projects.

  • 120 hours of teaching time during the grant period
Specific Requirements
  • PhD;
    • Very good command of English (or another foreign language);
    • A research profile related to the academic specialization of the Department/Faculty;
    • Very good command of Polish;
  • Submit a research project application in the competition under the POSTDOC WF program, which is attached to this application, containing:
  • Details of the applicant, candidate for the POSTDOC position (Name and surname, academic degree), Strategic area (as listed in the competition announcement), Project title (in Polish and English):
  • Project description (including demonstration of scientific novelty, innovation, and research competitiveness, research plan, and methodology)
  • Justification of the application's compliance with the objectives of the POSTDOC WF program, in particular compliance with at least one of the strategic areas of development of the WUT WF program listed in the competition announcement
  • Description of the candidate's competencies: (including demonstration of the candidate's competencies necessary to achieve the strategic goals set in the competition announcement, supported by the applicant's previous achievements, experience in teamwork, and experience in teaching)
  • Declaration of measurable results of the research project:

(The application should declare the results of the project, such as publications (planned) journals), obtaining external research funding (submitted applications for external funding that passed at least the formal assessment), patents, implementations)

  • academic curriculum vitae, listing previous academic achievements and distinctions resulting from the research, including publications, and specifying the competencies for project management
  • application to the Vice-Rector for General Affairs;
  • personal questionnaire for the candidate;
  • copies of the higher education diploma and the professional title of Master of Science or equivalent;
  • a copy of the doctoral diploma;
  • a list of academic, teaching, and organisational achievements;
  • other documents confirming additional qualifications;
  • declaration of recognition of WUT as the primary place of employment, within the meaning of the Law on Higher Education and Science;
  • declaration of:
  • full legal capacity;
  • enjoyment of full public rights;
  • not having been convicted by a final judgment for an intentional crime or an intentional tax offence;
  • not having been subjected to a disciplinary penalty referred to in Art. Article 276 paragraph 1 points 7 and 8 of the Act;
Selection process

The aforementioned documents shall be submitted from the day of competition announcement at the Faculty of Physics WUT to the Dean of the Faculty, Koszykowa 75, room 129.

The Warsaw University of Technology shall reserve the right not to conclude the competition without selecting the candidate and stating the reason.

Not informing the candidate about the competition results is equivalent to rejecting their application.

Winning the competition shall not guarantee employment.
