Job summary

J.P. Morgan in Warsaw is seeking a Senior Analyst in the Asset Class Control team to ensure accuracy of Balance Sheet and P&L for the Derivatives, Collateral and Reporting assets.

You will perform controls, reconciliations, and month-end processes in a collaborative, governance-driven environment. The role requires a finance or economics degree, 2+ years in banking or accounting, strong English communication, and the ability to challenge processes while driving improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics or a numerical field.
• Minimum of 2+ years' experience in Banking, Accounting or related Finance function.
• Strong understanding of General Ledger accounting concepts (Balance Sheet, P&L).
• Excellent business English and communication skills.
• Self-driven with strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
• Capability to challenge processes to identify control issues.

Responsibilities

• Be accountable for correctness and substantiation of Balance Sheet and P&L accounts for asset class: Derivatives, Collateral, Reporting.
• Collaborate with Product Control, Financial Control, Operations and Reporting teams.
• Partner with asset class control teams globally.
• Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end activities and consolidation of financial data.
• Control post-closing entries and consolidation adjustments; identify improvements.
• Drive process simplification and stronger controls through stakeholder collaboration.

As a Senior Analyst in the Asset Class Control team, you will perform many controls, checks, analysis, and reconciliations to ensure the accuracy of our financial statements. Your role is vital in maintaining the integrity of our financial reporting. We work collaboratively to uphold the highest standards in financial governance and reporting.

Job responsibilities

• Be accountable for correctness, integrity and substantiation of Balance Sheet and P&L accounts for your asset class: Derivatives, Collateral, Reporting
• Work closely with other corporate functions e.g. Product Control, Financial Control, Operations and Reporting
• Partner with asset class control teams globally
• Manage the consolidation of JPMorgan Chase financial data at month-end for their asset class, including the ability to support month end, quarter end, and year end activities
• Control post-closing entries and consolidation adjustments
• Identify process and/or infrastructure enhancements and work with stakeholders to enact change
• Mobilize change wherever possible in order to simplify processes and enhance controls

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics or within other numerical field
• Minimum of 2+ years' experience in Banking, Accounting or other Finance function
• Good understanding of General Ledger accounting concepts (Balance Sheet, P&L)
• Excellent command of business English and communication skills (both written and spoken)
• Self-driven attitude with good organizational and problem-solving skills
• Ability to critically challenge with the goal of identifying control issues
• Comfort liaising with business and partners while building and maintaining strong working relationships

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel
• SAP knowledge will be value added
• Alteryx and SQL knowledge will be value added
