Dwelly is building an AI operating system for residential lettings, hiring an Applied AI Engineer to design reusable agentic infrastructure and robust evaluation systems. You will scale AI-driven workflows across acquired agencies, turning complex processes into reliable automation in production.

Qualifications

• Strong software engineering background with production-grade delivery.
• Hands-on experience building AI/agentic systems in production.
• Experience tackling reliability, latency, context management, failure modes, evaluation and observability.
• Understanding of agents, tool use, context management, orchestration, evaluation and feedback loops.
• Advanced practical use of modern LLMs and building reliable workflows around probabilistic systems.
• Experience using coding agents and agentic development workflows.
• Ability to decompose tasks across agents and verify outputs.
• Strong architectural judgment on when to use LLMs, deterministic software, or human input.
• Experience with TypeScript/Node.js or Python in TS-first environments.
• High autonomy, ownership and decision-making under ambiguity.
• Strong product judgment linking tech decisions to business outcomes.
• Excellent communication in English; startup mindset.

Responsibilities

• Design and build core primitives behind our agentic systems including memory, context management, tool-calling, orchestration and feedback loops.
• Move from one-off AI solutions to reusable infrastructure with predictable reliability.
• Build evaluation and observability framework to measure agent performance.
• Make testing, tracing, debugging and evaluation of AI systems core to engineering processes.
• Develop systems to confidently assess agentic workflows before production.
• Push forward how we use LLMs to build software and agentic workflows.
• Create workflows where coding agents and subagents explore repos, implement changes and review architecture.
• Design orchestration where agents, tools, deterministic software and humans collaborate effectively.
• Bridge operational workflows and engineering with product teams to identify automation opportunities.
• Define architectural patterns for agentic systems as the company scales.
