Element is seeking an Application Modernization Architect (Java/.NET) in Warsaw to lead cloud-native modernization efforts for major clients. You will steer end-to-end architecture across applications, data, and cloud platforms, ensuring scalable, secure, and cost-effective designs.

The role requires deep expertise in microservices, containers, and 12-factor app principles, with experience guiding Solution Architects and engaging clients on strategic modernization roadmaps.

Qualifications

• End-to-end experience in cloud-native app design and modernization.
• Led large modernization and cloud-native architecture programs (≥2).
• Strong knowledge of microservices, containers, and 12-factor principles.
• Experience with monitoring tools such as New Relic and Splunk.
• Professional Architect Certification in any cloud is a plus.

Responsabilités

For one of our clients - one of the biggest IT companies in the world, we're looking for a candidate for a position - Application Modernization Architect (Java/.NET).

Responsibilities

• Conduct a TCO/ROI study to come up with the value proposition for application modernization,
• Define strategies for cloud adoption of key business applications (focusing on the mapping of business requirements to IT capabilities and align the same),
• Define the approach and plan for application modernization,
• Provide architectural leadership to Solution Architects to deliver thoughtful IT solutions to the business,
• Engage with clients to design applications based on business requirements covering Applications, Data, Cloud Technology & Application Authentication & Authorization,
• Performing quality review of project deliverables. Lead work sessions and client discussion,
• Spearheading the complete Solution Architecture, Digital Transformation, Cloud Modernization & Architecture, Software Development and Performance Tuning,
• Collaborate with enterprise architecture, information security, application & infrastructure teams to produce an optimal, high level, conceptual, and cost-effective application designs by using microservices patterns and best practices,
• Design the migration and modernization strategy, transitional process necessary for application to be onboarded on cloud-based architecture that includes APIs, microservices and containers,
• Offering and capability development,
• Create application migration and modernization offerings based on market demand and develop delivery capabilities for its execution,
• Define reference architecture for new offerings and provide key differentiator inputs to offering teams in terms of new technology adoption in application area.

Requirements:

Work experience:Overall 15+ years of relevant IT experience, with minimum 10 years of experience in area of Application Design, Development & Modernization (Refer section - Experience and Technical Skills below).

Experience:

• End to end working experience in application development across cloud native environments,
• Executed large app modernization and cloud native architecting programs (at least 2 programs),
• Good understanding and experience of cloud native application design principles (like micro-services, stateless application meant for cloud, containers, 12 factor app principles etc.),
• Familiarity with tools such as New Relic, Splunk.

Certification (added advantage):

• Professional Architect Certification in any of the cloud (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud),
