Job summary

Uni Systems is seeking an experienced Application and Integration Architect to join the UniQue team in Warsaw, Poland. You will define and maintain architecture standards across enterprise solutions, including data models, analytics platforms, BI services, and data governance.

We expect deep expertise in integration platforms, API design, and SDLC, with leadership of development teams and rigorous architecture documentation throughout the lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of relevant IT experience.
• Minimum 5 years of project experience in a similar role.
• At least two certifications from the list: IASA Architect CITA-A; Microsoft Certified: DevOps Engineer Expert; Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Fundamentals; TIBCO Certified Associate; Certified SOA Architect.

Responsibilities

• Define and maintain architecture, development, testing, and quality standards across enterprise solutions.
• Design and oversee enterprise-wide database architectures, data models, analytics platforms, BI services, and data governance frameworks.
• Gather and analyze business, user, and technical requirements, translating them into scalable architecture solutions.
• Evaluate existing systems, applications, and technologies, recommending optimal solutions and infrastructure requirements.
• Lead development teams and support system design, testing, quality assurance, and change management activities.
• Monitor system performance metrics and drive continuous improvements in performance, security, scalability, and quality.
• Prepare architecture documentation, presentations, and maintain enterprise architecture artifacts throughout the system lifecycle.
• Select and evaluate technologies while ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture standards and strategic objectives.

What will you be doing in this role

• Define and maintain architecture, development, testing, and quality standards across enterprise solutions.
• Design and oversee enterprise-wide database architectures, data models, analytics platforms, BI services, and data governance frameworks.

What will you be bringing to the team?

• Minimum Education Level: Level 7
• At least 8 years of relevant professional IT experience
• Minimum 5 years of project experience relevant to the profile or in a similar position
• At least two (2) certifications from the list below, or internationally recognized equivalent certifications accepted by the Contracting Authority:
  • IASA Architect CITA-A
  • Microsoft Certified: DevOps Engineer Expert
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Fundamentals
  • TIBCO Certified Associate
  • Certified SOA Architect

• Experience with ArchiMate modeling.
• Experience with the European Interoperability Framework (EIF) or other interinstitutional frameworks.
• Experience in applying architecture styles, principles, and design patterns to enterprise solutions.
• Strong technical knowledge of integration platforms such as TIBCO or MuleSoft, SOA, databases, application servers, communication middleware, web applications, cloud integration patterns, business intelligence concepts, systems integration, and Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
• Expert in architecting system integrations at both data and API levels.
• Expert in designing enterprise integration platform connectors, integration flows, and service bus solutions.
• Expert in planning the capacity, scalability, and security of integration platform capabilities.
• Familiar with integration patterns, standards, and models.
• Familiar with serverless and containerization platforms across cloud and on-premises environments.
• Sound knowledge of system and application design using UML.
• Familiar with DevSecOps methodologies and practices.
• Extensive experience in aligning application development and integration solutions with business needs.
• Proficient in system modeling tools such as Sparx Enterprise Architect, ARIS Architect, or equivalent tools.
• Familiar with architecture standards and frameworks such as TOGAF, Zachman, Azure Well-Architected Framework, or similar.
• Sound knowledge of hybrid systems and application integration approaches.
