Job summary

Skywise, part of Airbus, is seeking a Cloud Operations & Observability Engineer to lead the design and execution of a next-generation monitoring and alerting strategy. You will unify and scale observability across platforms, exploring AIOps and data-driven operations to improve reliability and cost efficiency.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, guiding modernization efforts and shaping the future state of cloud platform operations in a merged environment.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience designing and managing enterprise observability setups.
• Strong AWS expertise; AWS certification preferred.
• Experience with Terraform or CloudFormation for observability-as-code.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and communicate with senior management.

Responsibilities

• Audit and identify synergies and gaps across legacy and new monitoring solutions.
• Define the future state and a scalable roadmap for intelligent operations.
• Optimize cloud spend with best-practice tooling and processes.
• Integrate AI/ML (AIOps) for predictive alerting and automated incident response.
• Harmonize tools and evangelize SRE methodologies across teams.
• Mentor and transfer knowledge to internal teams and governance structure.
