Star is seeking Senior Design Engineers who embed AI into every step, from idea to working product in code. You’ll prototype in HTML/CSS, React and TypeScript, using Claude Code or GitHub Copilot as core tools, and align design systems with code components.

Join a remote contract role within Star's freelance network, collaborating with clients across digital, automotive, health tech, and mobility projects. European time zone required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience in Product Design, UX/UI or Interaction Design.
• A portfolio showing live prototypes and validated ideas.
• Fluent English and strong communication in multinational teams.
• Experience building AI-native design workflows in code.
• Ability to prototype with HTML/CSS, React and TypeScript.

Responsibilities

• Design and prototype in code, turning concepts into working prototypes quickly.
• Build and maintain an AI harness for design work.
• Design AI-powered products including assistants and agentic experiences.
• Work inside the engineering workflow with Git and shared repos.
• Use AI across the whole design process from concept to QA.
• Support clients by integrating AI-native workflows.
