Job summary

Star is seeking a Senior Product Designer with deep automotive HMI experience to turn complex vehicle systems into intuitive, production-ready digital experiences. This contract-based collaboration connects you with Star's curated freelance network and projects that match your expertise.

You’ll work with multidisciplinary teams on automotive and mobility programs, shaping cockpits, infotainment, instrument clusters and connected services for premium experiences.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience in Product Design, UX/UI Design or HCI.
• Proven automotive HMI / digital cockpit design experience.
• Experience designing for automotive platforms or embedded systems.
• Portfolio with 2-3 relevant HMI case studies showing depth and craft.

Responsibilities

• Translate complex vehicle data, controls and services into clear interface designs.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across design, engineering and AI.
• Develop implementation-ready specifications and contribute to design systems.
• Create high-fidelity visual designs and scalable UI patterns.
