Hitachi Energy seeks an AI Transformation Lead to accelerate AI adoption across engineering platforms, software products, and workflows supporting transformer design. You will bridge AI strategy and execution, collaborating with software engineers, solution architects, data specialists, cybersecurity experts, and innovation teams to turn AI opportunities into practical solutions.

Qualifications

8+ years in software engineering, solution architecture, digital transformation, or related tech roles.
Hands-on experience delivering software solutions and technology transformations within complex organizations.
Practical experience with AI technologies, ML solutions, generative AI, or intelligent automation initiatives.
Understanding of modern software development practices, cloud platforms, and enterprise architectures.
Experience leading cross-functional initiatives with multiple stakeholders and technical teams.
Strong ability to link business objectives with technology solutions.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Nice to have: Azure OpenAI, Databricks, NVIDIA ecosystem, ML platforms, or modern data platforms.

Responsibilities

Drive the adoption of AI across engineering platforms, software solutions, and development teams.
Translate strategic AI initiatives into practical implementation plans and measurable outcomes.
Identify opportunities to improve engineering productivity, software delivery, and business processes through AI-enabled solutions.
Collaborate with engineering teams to define use cases, validate ideas, and support implementation activities.
Work closely with architects, data specialists, cybersecurity teams, and business stakeholders to ensure successful adoption of AI capabilities.
Promote modern engineering practices and AI-assisted development approaches.
Support modernization initiatives including evolving legacy systems and adopting new technology patterns.
Drive experimentation, proof-of-concepts, and innovation initiatives with the innovation organization.
Monitor industry trends to identify opportunities relevant to the engineering organization.
Establish governance frameworks and best practices for safe and scalable AI adoption.

We are looking for an AI Transformation Lead to help accelerate the adoption of AI technologies across engineering platforms, software products, and engineering workflows supporting transformer design and development. In this role, you will bridge the gap between AI strategy and execution. Working closely with software engineers, engineering teams, solution architects, data specialists, cybersecurity experts, and innovation teams, you will identify opportunities where AI can deliver measurable value and help transform those opportunities into practical solutions. This is a highly visible role with significant autonomy and influence, offering the opportunity to shape how AI capabilities are introduced, scaled, and operationalized across multiple engineering organizations.

How You Will Make An Impact

Drive the adoption of AI technologies across engineering platforms, software solutions, and development teams.

Your background

8+ years of experience in software engineering, solution architecture, digital transformation, innovation, or related technology roles.

Hands-on experience delivering software solutions and implementing technology transformations within complex organizations.

Practical experience with AI technologies, machine learning solutions, generative AI, or intelligent automation initiatives.

Understanding of modern software development practices, cloud platforms, and enterprise architecture principles.

Experience leading cross-functional initiatives involving multiple stakeholders and technical teams.

Strong ability to connect business objectives with technology solutions.

Experience identifying and delivering process improvements through automation and emerging technologies.

Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.

Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

Good written and spoken English (B2 or higher).

Nice to have: Experience with Azure AI services, Azure OpenAI, Databricks, NVIDIA ecosystem, ML platforms, or modern data platforms. Experience in engineering, manufacturing, industrial, or energy-related organizations.
