Job summary

NTU International seeks a skilled AI Engineer with a strong software development background to design, develop and deploy AI-powered software and digital platforms. Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional experience in software development or engineering.
• Experience building web applications, APIs, backend services and database-driven systems.
• Practical experience integrating LLMs, AI APIs, RAG, and AI agents into software.
• Familiarity with Git, Docker and cloud environments.
• Ability to design, develop, test and deploy functional software independently.
• Understanding of software security, data protection and responsible AI.
• Experience with EU institutions, public sector digitalisation or international development is a plus.

Responsibilities

We are now looking for a skilled and motivated AI Engineer with a strong software development background and practical experience applying modern AI technologies.

The successful candidate will contribute to the design, development and deployment of software applications, digital platforms and AI-powered solutions, working alongside NTU's international teams, technical specialists and technology partners.

We are particularly interested in someone who enjoys programming, experimenting with emerging AI technologies and turning innovative ideas into functional, reliable and scalable software solutions.

What you’ll do

• Design, develop, test and deploy software applications, digital platforms and AI-powered solutions.
• Build and integrate APIs, backend services, databases and web-based applications.
• Develop AI-powered tools using Large Language Models (LLMs), Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), AI agents and multi-agent workflows.

What we’re looking for

• At least 3 years of professional experience in software development or engineering.
• Experience developing web applications, APIs, backend services and database-driven systems.
• Practical experience integrating LLMs, AI APIs, RAG solutions and AI agents into software applications.
• Familiarity with modern development tools and infrastructure, including Git, Docker and cloud environments.
• Ability to independently design, develop, test and deploy functional software solutions.
• Understanding of software security, data protection and responsible AI principles.
• Strong problem-solving skills, initiative and ability to work independently.
• Experience with EU institutions, public sector digitalisation or international development projects would be an advantage.
