Job summary

Qualifications

• Solid software-engineering skills in Python or another general-purpose programming language.
• Hands-on experience contributing to production software.
• Experience with AI-assisted development tools to modify real systems.
• Ability to break work into bounded tasks with clear context and acceptance criteria.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, test, deploy, and operate software for aviation products and modernization initiatives.
• Translate product requirements into technical designs, interfaces, and acceptance criteria.
• Use coding agents and AI-assisted tools for implementation, refactoring, and testing.
• Break work into bounded tasks with context so AI agents can execute reliably.
• Critically evaluate AI-generated solutions for correctness, security, maintainability, and fit with existing systems.
• Establish verification through automated tests, static analysis, security tooling, and peer review.
• Integrate new capabilities with existing aviation data formats and workflows while managing migration risk.
• Identify technical risks and communicate them to the team.
• Participate in code reviews, production support, and continuous improvement of engineering practices.
