Job summary

Backbase in Kraków is seeking an Applied AI Software Engineer (Web) to build user-centric banking web apps with AI-assisted workflows. You will own features from frontend Angular components to backend integrations, leveraging modern web technologies and AI tools within a cross-functional Scrum team.

The role emphasizes high-quality, testable code, accessibility, security, and performance, with hybrid work combining remote options and an on-site Kraków office. English communication is essential.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional software engineering experience with modern web tech.
• Practical exposure to AI-assisted development tools.
• Strong backend integration, REST APIs, microservices, and CI/CD.
• Excellent written and spoken English in Agile teams.

Responsibilities

• AI-Enabled Web Delivery: leverage AI coding assistants, LLM workflows, and automated tooling to accelerate feature development across UI, backend services, and APIs.
• End-to-End Ownership: deliver production-ready features for Backbase Digital Banking, from Angular frontend components to backend microservice integrations.
• Modern Web Engineering: write clean, testable TypeScript/Angular code using Nx, RxJS, and the Backbase Design System.
• Quality & Performance: design testable components, run unit/integration tests, ensure web accessibility (a11y), security, and performance standards.
• Agile Collaboration: work autonomously within a cross-functional Scrum squad to ship rapid product increments.
