Job summary

Sopra Steria Polska seeks a DevOps Engineer (AI, GitLab) to join an innovative international squad in Katowice. You will design AI infrastructure, automate pipelines, and scale AI services across hybrid environments.

We require advanced GitLab CI/CD, Docker/Kubernetes, cloud skills (AWS/Azure), Terraform and Python. EU citizenship and Polish residence are mandatory; occasional travels may be needed.

Qualifications

• Advanced (+5yr) experience with GitLab and CI/CD pipelines.
• Expertise (+3yr) in Docker and Kubernetes for container orchestration.
• Good knowledge of Data Science and Machine Learning principles and AI frameworks.
• Proficiency in cloud services like AWS or Azure.
• Proficiency in Terraform for IaC.
• Proficiency in Python and development tools (GitLab, Jira, Confluence).
• Familiarity with monitoring/observability in CI/CD (Prometheus, Grafana).
• EU citizenship and fluent English.
• Willingness for occasional business trips and Katowice office visits.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain AI infrastructure across cloud, on‑premises or hybrid environments.
• Automate deployment pipelines: CI/CD and MLOps for models and data workflows.
• Manage containerisation/orchestration with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Support model operationalisation with versioning, traceability and releases.
• Monitor systems, set up logging, metrics, alerts and performance tracking.
• Collaborate with data scientists, developers and security experts to deliver AI solutions.
• Standardise environments using Infrastructure as Code for consistency.
