Job summary

Accenture is seeking a data engineer in Kraków to design, build, and operate scalable ELT/ETL pipelines using APIs, databases, and event streams. You will develop Airflow workflows, model data in Snowflake and Databricks, and improve data quality with validation and testing.

Qualifications

• Strong SQL skills with complex queries and performance tuning.
• Experience with Python for data engineering and automation.
• Experience with modern cloud data warehouses (Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, Synapse).
• Experience building pipelines using Apache Airflow or similar tools.
• Experience operating production data systems with focus on reliability and maintainability.
• Experience using Git and collaborative software engineering practices.
• Ability to work in fast-changing environments and take ownership.
• Excellent communication with technical and business stakeholders.
• Experience using AI coding assistants and reviewing generated code.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate scalable ELT/ETL pipelines from APIs, databases, and streams.
• Develop and maintain orchestration workflows in Apache Airflow with monitoring and alerts.
• Build and optimize data models in Snowflake and Databricks for analytics and AI apps.
• Improve data quality through validation, testing, and lineage.
• Investigate incidents, perform root-cause analysis, implement fixes.
• Collaborate with analytics engineers, data scientists, product teams, and software engineers.
• Contribute to engineering standards (testing, CI/CD, docs, code reviews).
• Leverage AI coding tools to accelerate development while maintaining quality.
