Job summary

Lufthansa Group Business Services is seeking a Junior to Senior Data Scientist to join the Data Analytics & AI team in Kraków. You will design, build and deploy ML models and AI agents, working closely with business stakeholders to translate problems into data-driven solutions.

You will combine data science with software engineering, using Python, testing, Git and modern AI technologies. The role offers hybrid work and opportunities to grow within a global aviation group.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience for Junior/Data Scientist level or 5+ years for Senior level in applied data science or a related area.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and evaluate ML models and AI agent solutions for real business use cases.
• Work with LLMs, prompting, RAG and agent orchestration.
• Develop production-quality Python code using testing, Git and code review practices.
• Explore and work with data from SAP, Azure and Databricks.
• Use MLflow for experiment tracking and model lifecycle management.
• Work with technologies such as Azure AI Foundry and Airflow.
• Collaborate with platform engineers to bring AI solutions into production.
• Work directly with business stakeholders to understand problems, challenge assumptions and identify the right solution.
• Perform all other duties assigned or delegated by supervisors.
