Volkswagen Financial Services (Poland) is seeking a Data Scientist to develop and deploy regression, classification, and clustering models within an international AI team. You will design end-to-end solutions, perform feature engineering, and apply state-of-the-art ML/AI methods including LLMs and GenAI.

The role requires 1–2 years of DS experience, strong Python and data libraries, plus cloud and DevOps familiarity.

Qualifications

• Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 1–2 years of experience as a Data Scientist.
• Strong Python skills with pandas, numpy, scikit-learn.
• Solid understanding of ML/AI methods (LLMs, GenAI, neural networks, regression, clustering).
• Basic SQL knowledge and data modeling.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP); Docker, Git, CI/CD a plus.
• Familiarity with GDPR, IT security, and AI ethics.
• Strong communication, teamwork, proactive attitude.
• Fluent English and very good Polish.
• Experience in Agile/DevOps environments.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deploy models for regression, classification, and clustering
• Design end-to-end solutions, including deep learning and reinforcement learning
• Perform feature engineering and optimize model performance
• Analyze and prepare data, ensuring high data quality
• Apply advanced techniques (e.g., Monte Carlo simulations, SHAP) for model insights
• Build scalable solutions in Python
• Automate workflows in Linux environments (shell scripting, Git)
• Design software using functional and object-oriented approaches
• Work with SQL/NoSQL databases and optimize queries
