Job summary

Bamboo Works is seeking an AI Automation Specialist to design, build, and scale AI-powered bookkeeping workflows for an accounting platform.

You will work remotely, aligned to Australian hours, collaborating with leadership to translate ideas into production-ready AI solutions and integrate with major accounting systems. This independent-contractor role offers a monthly rate of US$1,400–1,600, with potential for higher depending on experience.

Qualifications

• 2–3+ years building AI-powered workflows or automation systems.
• Proficient with Claude and Claude Code.
• Experience designing/ deploying agent-based or multi-agent systems.
• Strong understanding of LLMs, prompts, and AI app dev.
• Hands-on Python, APIs, and system integrations.
• Knowledge of workflow architecture and process optimization.
• Ability to design and deploy automation solutions independently.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills; strong English.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, deploy, and maintain AI-powered bookkeeping agents using Claude.
• Create intelligent workflows automating accounting processes.
• Integrate AI with Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks, Zoho, and other platforms.
• Collaborate with leadership to prioritize and deliver new AI capabilities.
