The ideal candidate has a background in grain procurement, strong English communication, and a proactive, travel-ready mindset to engage with suppliers and farmers.

Qualifications

• Experience in procurement within the agricultural sector, preferably grain purchasing.
• Fluency in English; knowledge of Russian is a plus.
• Strong track record of building long-term relationships with farmers and suppliers.

Our client is a leading international producer in the malt industry, part of a global agri-food group with a strong footprint across Europe and beyond. With 24 production sites in 13 countries, the company plays a key role in supplying high-quality raw materials for the brewing and food sectors.

In the CEE region, the company operates facilities also in Poland or Ukraine, employing nearly 200 people and continuing to grow. To strengthen its procurement team, we are currently seeking an experienced:

Key Responsibilities:

• Negotiate prices, payment terms, and delivery conditions with barley suppliers
• Monitor the market, analyze trends, and identify new sourcing opportunities
• Build and maintain long-term partnerships with suppliers
• Ensure raw material quality and timely deliveries
• Coordinate logistics and supply chain processes for barley procurement
• Develop and implement purchasing strategies
• Analyze procurement data, prepare reports, and provide recommendations to management
• Co-create sustainable agriculture strategies in line with market expectations on reducing carbon footprint and promoting eco-friendly sourcing

Requirements:

• Professional experience in procurement in the agricultural sector, ideally in grain purchasing
• Fluency in English; knowledge of Russian will be an advantage
• Strong background in building long-term relationships with farmers and suppliers
• Self-reliant, goal-oriented, and problem-solving mindset
• Willingness to travel for business and supplier visits
