Woodward Inc. is seeking a Quality Engineer with aerospace experience to support quality assurance across production and transition projects. You will lead quality activities, ensure compliance, and drive improvements with cross-functional teams for smooth launches.

Requires a bachelor’s in engineering or related field and 3–5 years in aerospace quality. The role emphasizes APQP/PPAP/FAI, AS9100, and strong teamwork for successful transfers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, quality, manufacturing, or related field preferred.
• 3–5 years of quality engineering experience in aerospace or regulated manufacturing.
• Experience with transition projects, NPI, or product transfers.
• Knowledge of APQP, PPAP, and FAI requirements.
• Knowledge of AS9100 and Part 21 in aerospace; certification environment.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and specs.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead quality activities for aerospace transition projects from planning through implementation.
• Support new product and process transfers, including readiness reviews and risk assessments.
• Ensure compliance with customer, regulatory, and aerospace quality requirements.
• Develop and maintain quality documentation, control plans, inspection plans, and records.
• Support root cause analysis, corrective actions, and preventive actions.
• Conduct product and process audits and verifications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve quality issues and launch on time.
• Review drawings and customer requirements for compliance.
• Participate in continuous improvements to reduce defects and improve capability.
• Support customer visits, audits, quality reviews.
