Job summary

Job description

We are looking for an experienced and motivated AQP Supervisor to provide leadership to our APQP Engineering team and oversee the execution of the Advanced Product Quality Planning process. This role serves as a key interface between customers, project teams, and manufacturing operations, ensuring robust quality planning from concept through commercialisation. The successful candidate will guide and develop APQP Engineers, drive continuous improvement and ensure customer requirements are translated into effective processes that consistently deliver high-quality products.

What You Will Do

  • Lead and develop a team of APQP Engineers, providing technical guidance, prioritisation, coaching, and support.
  • Ensure consistent execution of APQP activities across projects and adherence to customer and internal requirements.
  • Act as the primary quality interface for customers and key stakeholders throughout the product development lifecycle.

APQP Execution and Quality Planning:

  • Lead quality planning activities for new products, ensuring APQP deliverables are completed on time and to the required standard.
  • Partner with Cross Functional teams to support successful project execution.
  • Drive effective implementation of APQP methodologies throughout the development and launch phases.
  • Facilitate risk assessments and ensure appropriate mitigation plans are established and implemented.
  • Oversee the development and maintenance of PFMEAs, Control Plans, MSA Studies and validation activities.

Documentation and Reporting:

  • Ensure all APQP documentation is complete, accurate, and up to date. Report on project status, progress, and any issues. Internal, external.

Process Qualification and Control:

  • Ensure APQP documentation and customer deliverables are complete, accurate, and maintained throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Communicate quality risks, status, and key milestones to internal stakeholders and customers.
  • Drive CI initiatives that enhance product quality, process capability, and APQP effectiveness.
  • Promote the sharing of best practices across the APQP team and wider organisation.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • Demonstrated strong communication, teamwork, and organisational skills
  • Advanced problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated decision-maker with the ability to work independently
  • Good knowledge of MS Office applications (Excel, Outlook)
