Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care in Poland seeks an experienced accounting professional to support month-end close, asset accounting, and group consolidation within a hybrid work model. You will help document processes, ensure IFRS compliance, and drive improvements across the R2R landscape.

The role requires a solid accounting degree or certificate, 4+ years in accounting, and business English. SAP/Blackline knowledge is a plus; you will collaborate with BU and build knowledge across teams.

Qualifications

• Fluency in English in business environment (B2+).
• Academic degree or accounting certificate (e.g., SKWP, ACCA).
• Experience in transition process.
• >4 years accounting experience (Polish accounting preferred).
• SAP and Blackline knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and present monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements per IFRS.
• Document transactions and processes including balance sheet reviews and asset accounting.
• Collect data and submit statements for group consolidation.
• Assist month-end close and maintain balance sheet reconciliations.
• Support process transfers to GBS and standardisation efforts.
• Contribute to new accounting tools implementation and capability building.
• Provide process trainings and share knowledge across units.
• Ensure compliance with FME policies and internal procedures.

Your responsibilities:

Operations

• Preparation and execution of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance to IFRS as well as ongoing work for the entities regarding accounting.
• Appropriate and accurately documentation of all business transactions and processes (e.g. balance sheet review, manual journal entry and review, asset accounting, …).
• Collecting data and submitting financial statements for group consolidation
• Engaging with the finance on potential issues concerning compliance requirements
• Preparation and calculation of monthly and quarterly provisions/accruals with direct collaboration with BU
• Preparation of Asset Accounting reports
• Active participation in the month-end closing process
• Creating and maintaining balance sheet reconciliations
• Supporting process transfer to GBS and standardisation of the activities
• Supporting new accounting tools’ implementation
• Stimulates cooperation and exchange of knowledge and experiences between all organizational units
• Delivering process trainings
• Cooperating closely with Team Leads and supports current activities to emphasize and reinforce growth, development and advancement by ensuring customer-oriented, value-adding solutions
• Engaging in new process related topics, projects, initiatives once delegated by superior
• Other activities and duties ordered by the immediate superior.

Expertise sharing

• Become an authority in the process of R2R; become a source of knowledge, who contributes the expertise to enhance SSC efficiency.
• Act as SPOC for employees for R2R process related issues/queries/questions

Knowledge Retention

• Support operating procedures update for respective Process Tower/Team.
• Actively participate in internal capability building activities including knowledge dissemination among employees, training, asset creation in respective Process Tower/Team.

Quality, Legal & Compliance

• Follow and comply with all relevant FME policies, guidelines, manuals and SOPs in the version as amended from time to time (“FME Policies”)
• Keep yourself updated about the current version of the FME Policies that are relevant for your role and integrate corporate values in daily business
• Compliance with GBS’s internal procedures and instructions
• Compliance with the rules set out in the service contract between the GBS and the local organization in terms of: timeliness and quality

Our requirements:

• Fluency in the English language in the business environment (at least B2)
• Academic degree or equivalent diploma in Accounting or any official accounting certificate (e.g. SKWP, ACCA)
• Experience in transition process
• Work experience in > 4 years in accounting (preferably Polish accounting)
• SAP & Blackline knowledge would be an asset
