Job summary

Aviva Services Excellence Centre in Poland is hiring for a role in the IWR Finance Reporting team. You will gain exposure to senior stakeholders and strengthen your expertise in IFRS and Solvency II. The 12-month fixed-term contract may extend to permanent employment.

You will validate and report IFRS results, support Solvency II submissions, and contribute to end-to-end financial reporting improvements. Fluent English and Polish are required.

Qualifications

• University degree in economics, finance or accounting.
• Experience in accounting/reporting within insurance or financial services is a plus.
• Strong English and Polish language skills.

Responsibilities

• Monthly and quarterly reporting of financial performance and IFRS disclosure analyses.

We are excited to advertise this fantastic opportunity to become a part of the Aviva’s Insurance, Wealth and Retirement (IWR) Finance Reporting team. The role will give successful candidates an exposure to senior stakeholder management, the ability to strengthen their skills in external reporting (IFRS and Solvency II) and a platform from which to move their career forward at pace.

The role will require the successful candidate to apply professional judgement and expertise on accounting and reporting matters, brief and present to varied stakeholders and look to implement improvements in our end-to-end financial reporting processes. Candidates should be comfortable in liaising with other finance teams and areas of the business to deliver excellence in reporting outputs. With its central position this role is a perfect opportunity to gain visibility and develop a broad network across a wide range of teams and an insight into the financial performance of the IWR business.

This is a fixed term contract for 12 months, with a chance of extending to a permanent employment.

What will you be doing?

• Validate and report of the UK Life IFRS and SII results related to Unit Linked products
• Monthly and Quarterly reporting of financial performance and IFRS disclosure analyses to support Aviva Group results and statutory accounting
• Monthly and Quarterly submissions of Solvency II data
• Supporting the timely delivery of Financial Results
• Providing SME support to a varied change agenda

What we’re looking for?

• University degree preferred in economics, finance & accounting or similar
• Minimum 2 years of professional experience in technical accounting in insurance or audit of financial institutions. Or minimum 3-4 years of general accounting or general audit experience.
• Very good English language (daily work with English-speaking stakeholders) and very good Polish skills (approx. C1 level required)
• Presentation and stakeholder management skills
• Proactive approach, ability to challenge status quo
• Problem-solving skills
