Kingfisher in Kraków is seeking an Accountant (Fixed Assets) to manage asset capitalizations, disposals, and depreciation while ensuring accurate month-end close. The role also covers capital projects, journal entries, GL reconciliation, and regular reporting, with close collaboration across teams and auditors.

You will maintain fixed asset records, monitor depreciation, and produce timely financial updates. English proficiency (B2) and SAP knowledge are important.

Qualifikationen

• Relevant university degree in accounting or finance.
• At least 2 years of work experience in accounting, fixed assets.
• Very good spoken and written English (B2).
• Strong MS Excel knowledge.
• Analytical mindset with attention to detail.
• Ability to meet tight deadlines.
• Knowledge of SAP is a plus.

• Processing transactions on Fixed Assets - capitalizations, transfers, disposals, running depreciation
• Capital projects maintaining and monitoring
• Performing journal entry processing
• Reconciling dedicated GL accounts, explaining and resolving items
• Ensuring month-end processes are completed accurately according to schedule
• Preparing regular and ad hoc reports
• Communicating with clients on a regular basis, ensuring timely responses
• Ensuring controls over financial reporting are effective
• Ensuring company policies are followed
• Supporting audits as required

• Performing other related tasks assigned by Team Manager

Responsibilities:

• Processing transactions on Fixed Assets- capitalizations, transfers, disposals, running depreciation
• Capital projects maintaining and monitoring
• Performing journal entry processing
• Reconciling dedicated GL accounts, explaining and resolving unrecognized items / balances
• Ensuring month-end processes are completed accurately and according to month and year end closing schedule
• Preparing regular and ad hoc reports
• Communicating with clients on a regular basis, ensuring timely and accurate responses to any client queries
• Ensuring operational and design effectiveness of the controls over financial reporting within areas of responsibility
• Ensuring proper company policies are being followed
• Supporting audit as required
• Ensuring that developed KPIs and SLAs are continuously met
• Performing other related tasks assigned by Team Manager

What you'll bring

Qualifications:

• Relevant University degree (Accounting or Finance preferred) or equivalent education
• Minimum 2 years of work experience in accounting, fixed assets area
• Very good spoken & written English (B2)
• Very good MS Excel knowledge
• Analytical skills and good problem solving (attention to details)
• Being able to work within tight operational deadlines and priorities
• Good problem-solving skills and cooperation attitude
• Knowledge of SAP accounting system (considered an asset)
