Job summary

ZEN.COM is seeking a hands-on Head of Cyber Security to lead the practical implementation and day-to-day operations of cyber security across our fintech organization in Kraków. This 1LoD role focuses on building, implementing, and operating security capabilities within the business and technology teams.

You will build the security function, establish standards, and ensure security solutions are effectively deployed and continuously improved.

Qualifications

• Several years of experience in cyber security, including leading a technical security function or managing a security team.
• Experience operating in the First Line of Defense (1LoD) with ownership of security capabilities.
• Background in fintech, digital banking, payment services, or handling sensitive financial data.

Responsibilities

• Build and lead the Cyber Security team: recruit security professionals, define team structure and priorities, and develop technical capabilities.
• Own day-to-day security operations and ensure security measures are implemented, maintained, and continuously improved.
• Build and implement security capabilities: establish foundations, tools, processes, and operating model to secure systems, data, and infrastructure.
• Define and maintain technical security standards and work with tech teams to apply them consistently across infra and apps.
• Own security tooling: evaluate, implement, and maintain tools; ensure effective usage across the org.
• Manage vulnerabilities and remediation: run vulnerability management and coordinate remediation with teams.
• Drive application and infrastructure security: strengthen app, cloud, IAM, endpoint, network security, and secure configs.
