Job summary

Lahore University of Management Sciences is seeking a Warehouse Helper to support daily warehouse operations. You will assist the storekeeper in receiving, storing, issuing, and organizing materials, while maintaining safety and accuracy in inventory records.

The role involves handling goods, performing stock counts, and ensuring proper storage according to SOPs. A focus on attention to detail and teamwork will help optimize daily throughput.

Qualifications

• Intermediate in commerce and knowledge of warehouse operations.
• Ability to read labels, documentation, and perform stock counts.

Job description

The purpose of the warehouse helper position is to assist in the daily operations of the store by supporting the storekeeper in receiving, storing, issuing, and organising materials and supplies.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in receiving incoming goods, verifying quantities and specifications, and reporting discrepancies or damages.


• Support the loading, unloading, movement, and proper storage of materials in designated warehouse locations.


• Maintain a clean, organised, and safe warehouse environment in accordance with established safety standards.


• Assist with stock counts, cycle counts, and physical inventory verification activities.


• Follow inventory control procedures, including FIFO/FEFO principles and material handling guidelines.


• Report damaged, obsolete, or expired stock and assist in maintaining accurate inventory records.


• Pack, label, and prepare goods for storage, transfer, or dispatch as required.


• Coordinate with warehouse and inventory teams to achieve daily operational targets.


• Adhere to organisational SOPs, safety regulations, and inventory management procedures.
