Job summary

PepsiCo Pakistan seeks a seasoned Utilities Manager to lead Utilities Operations & Maintenance, ensuring safe, compliant plant performance and optimal utility costs. You will drive unscheduled and planned downtime KPIs, oversee a staffing plan, and deliver maintenance programs aligned with production schedules.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Electrical/Mechanical/Chemical engineering and at least 5 years FMCG experience with supervision or team management.

Qualifications

• 5 years FMCG experience with supervisory or team management role.
• Experience in utilities operations and maintenance is preferred.
• Strong understanding of safety standards and compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead Utilities Operations & Maintenance and manage Unscheduled Downtime (USDT) and Planned Downtime (PDT).
• Control costs of utilities (Natural Gas, Electricity, LPG, Diesel) and monitor KPIs.
• Develop and mentor Utilities team, improve MTTR/MTBF and ensure >70% preventive maintenance focus.
• Plan and execute preventive, condition-based, and corrective maintenance aligned with production plans.

Overview

To Lead Utilities Operation & Maintenance and manage upkeep of Rest of Factory. Utilities Manager is responsible for managing Unscheduled Downtimes, Planned Downtime, Cost of Utilities (Natural Gas, Electricity, LPG, Diesel) and AIB compliance pertaining to utilities footprint.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for safe operations of Utilities in line with AIB and GEHSMS mandates.
• Ensure adequate staffing, direction, and discipline as per PI guidelines.
• Eliminate avoidable accidents and improve plant safety performance.
• Achieve Unscheduled & Planned Downtime (USDT, PDT) KPIs.
• Being people leader, develop capability of Utilities team to improve MTTR, MTBF, USDT KPIs
• Evaluate equipment downtime during a shift and raise timely work orders for rectification of problems.
• Track MTTR & MTBF of Utilities equipment.
• Ensure Technician Utilization KPI is reports on daily, weekly and monthly basis and ensure +70% time is spent on preventive & condition-based maintenance jobs.
• Perform RCA of downtimes and draw proper Corrective & Preventive Actions (CAPAs) to avoid recurrence.
• Develop AOP & LE of Utilities Cost on monthly basis, track and monitor compliance.
• Plan & execute preventive maintenance, condition-based maintenance, and corrective maintenance jobs in timely manner, keeping in view the production plan. Ensure >95% PM plan compliance.
• Maintain housekeeping and safety standards in Utilities areas in line with AIB and GEHSMS mandates.
• Direct supervisory staff in identifying and correcting any unsafe conditions.
• Support other functions to implement quality and HSE standards as laid down by PI guidelines.
• Ensure legal licenses and permits are valid by ensuring timely inspection by government bodies.
• Manage maintenance and cost of maintenance for Rest of Factory infrastructure.
• Apart from the above, employee is expected to perform other accountabilities, time to time assigned by the manager
