Job summary

Karachi Metropolitan University is seeking an experienced IT Leader to manage and oversee all IT operations, infrastructure, and digital systems across the university. You will ensure smooth functioning of networks, databases, servers, ERP platforms, and coordinate with academic and administrative departments.

The role includes planning IT budgets, procurement, and enforcing security policies. Candidates should hold a Master’s degree in CS/IT/Software Engineering and have at least five years’

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related discipline from an HE C-recognized institution.
• At least 5 years of relevant IT management experience, including 3 years in a supervisory role in university/government/autonomous organization.
• Strong knowledge of network systems, cybersecurity, ERP solutions, MS Office and IT tools.

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee all IT operations, infrastructure, and digital systems of the university.
• Ensure smooth functioning of networks, databases, servers, and ERP platforms.
• Plan and implement IT policies, security protocols, and disaster recovery systems.
• Supervise software and hardware installation, maintenance, and technical support.
• Lead the development and automation of university processes and digital platforms.
• Coordinate with academic and administrative departments to meet IT needs; prepare IT budgets and procurement plans.
