Job summary

IO DIGITAL is seeking a creative UI/UX Designer to join our Karachi team. You will design user-centric interfaces and experiences for web and mobile, collaborating with product managers, developers, and other designers to deliver seamless digital experiences.

You will conduct user research, create wireframes and prototypes, and develop UI/UX designs with a focus on usability and accessibility. A strong portfolio and ability to iterate based on feedback are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Design, HCI, Graphic Design or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 2 years of experience as UI/UX Designer or in a similar role.
• Strong portfolio showcasing UI/UX design skills, process, and finished projects.

Responsibilities

• Conduct user research, including interviews, surveys, and usability testing.
• Create wireframes, user flows, and interactive prototypes.
• Design visually appealing and intuitive UI for web and mobile with consistent UX across platforms.
• Develop user-centered designs to enhance usability and accessibility.
• Collaborate with product managers, developers and designers to ensure feasibility and alignment with goals.
• Iterate on designs based on user feedback, analytics and stakeholder input.
• Contribute to and maintain a design system for consistency and scalability.
• Stay updated with latest UI/UX trends, tools and best practices.
• Present design concepts and solutions to stakeholders and team members clearly.

In this role, you will be responsible for designing user-centric interfaces and experiences that are both visually appealing and highly functional. You will work closely with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to create seamless and engaging digital experiences for our users.

Key Responsibilities

• User Research: Conduct user research, including interviews, surveys, and usability testing, to understand user needs, behaviors, and pain points.
• Wireframing & Prototyping: Create wireframes, user flows, and interactive prototypes to visualize design concepts and solutions.
• UI Design: Design visually stunning and intuitive user interfaces for web and mobile applications, ensuring consistency across all platforms.
• UX Design: Develop user-centered designs that enhance usability, accessibility, and overall user satisfaction.
• Collaboration: Work closely with product managers, developers, and other designers to ensure designs are feasible and align with business goals.
• Iteration: Continuously iterate on designs based on user feedback, analytics, and stakeholder input.
• Design Systems: Contribute to and maintain a design system to ensure consistency and scalability across products.
• Stay Updated: Keep up-to-date with the latest UI/UX trends, tools, and technologies to bring fresh ideas and best practices to the team.
• Presentation: Present design concepts and solutions to stakeholders and team members in a clear and compelling manner.

Skills

• Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or similar.
• Experience with prototyping tools like InVision, Axure, or Marvel.
• Strong understanding of user-centered design principles and methodologies.
• Knowledge of usability testing and user research techniques.
• Familiarity with front-end development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) is a plus.
• Excellent visual design skills with a keen eye for typography, color, and layout.
