Position Overview

We seek a Trainee WordPress Developer to join our R&D teams. Selected candidates will undergo 3 to 3.5 months of training to become proficient developers capable of handling enterprise-level applications. Post-internship, there is a strong likelihood of full-time employment based on performance.

The individuals will work from our Karachi, Lahore, or Islamabad resource centers as part of the division-based R&D department.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in developing, customizing, and maintaining WordPress websites.
• Support building responsive, user-friendly web pages using themes and page builders.
• Work with plugins, widgets, and perform basic theme customization.
• Help debug issues and perform routine site updates and backups.
• Collaborate with designers and senior developers to implement new features.
• Ensure development work is WC3 compliant and follows best coding practices.
• Implement mobile-first, responsive designs compatible across devices.
• Apply front-end animations and interactive elements to enhance user experience.
• Participate in code reviews and adhere to best development practices.
• Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
• Demonstrate eagerness to learn and adapt to new tools and technologies.
• Listen to instructions and execute tasks reliably.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• Strong understanding of WordPress CMS and architecture.
• Ability to convert PSD designs into high-quality, responsive HTML and integrate into WordPress.
• Experience in developing, customizing, and maintaining WordPress themes.
• Knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and SEO best practices.
• Understanding responsive design principles and cross-browser compatibility.
• Eagerness to learn new tools, frameworks, and technologies.
• Good problem-solving and communication skills.
• Familiarity with version control systems like Git or Bitbucket.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
