Job summary

Contour Software in Karachi is seeking a Trainee Software Developer to join its R&D team. You will progress from training to apprenticeship, with the potential to secure a full-time permanent role at Contour Software Karachi.

Qualifications

• University degree in Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline.
• Hands-on AI experience from academic, personal, internship, or early‑career projects preferred.
• Exposure to Generative AI, LLMs, RAG, Prompt Engineering, or AI‑powered app development.
• Strong Python programming and familiarity with common AI/ML libraries.
• Familiar with SDLC and application development.
• Good OO programming knowledge.

The Division

The Position

We are seeking to hire a Trainee Software Developer to be a member of its R&D team. The selected candidate would progress from training to apprenticeship, to potentially a full‑time permanent employment role in the Contour Software Karachi office, working as part of the resource‑center team, as an extension of the onshore R&D team.

Required Skills & Experience

• University degree in Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, Information Technology, and/or related discipline
  New/Recent/Soon to Graduate Computer Science & Software Engineering graduates are encouraged to apply
• Hands‑on AI experience through academic, personal, internship, or early‑career projects is preferred.
• Exposure to Generative AI, LLMs, RAG, Prompt Engineering, or AI‑powered application development.
• Strong Python programming and familiarity with common AI/ML libraries and frameworks.
• Familiar with the software development lifecycle and its application.
• Good programming knowledge with Object Oriented Programming techniques.
• Good knowledge of C#, ASP.NET, Angular, and SQL Server.
• Knowledge of RESTful APIs.
• Should be passionate to work on a diverse range of tech stacks.
• Knowledge of different application types/architecture.
• Must have good analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
• A quick learner, with attention to detail, and the commitment to meet deadlines.
• Knowledge of professional software engineering practices.
• Good verbal and non‑verbal communication skills.
