Qualifications

• Engineering Degree in Mechanical/Electrical/Electronics/Civil or Mechatronics + MBA (Preferred).
• Experience handling complete tender cycles and OEM coordination.
• Familiarity with e-procurement systems in Pakistan (PPRA, EPADS 2.0).
• Strong analytical skills to review specs, costs, and data-driven proposals.
• Clear written and verbal communication; able to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word).
• Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tenders under deadlines.
• Knowledge of public and private sector tendering in Pakistan is a plus.

Role Description

The Tendering Specialist is responsible for managing the full tender process for educational and research equipment projects. This full-time hybrid role is based in Islamabad, with a mix of on-site work and some work-from-home flexibility. Day-to-day responsibilities include identifying tender opportunities, reviewing tender documents, coordinating internal inputs, and preparing compliant, competitive proposals after consulting with OEM. The role involves preparing cost estimates, ensuring alignment with procurement and compliance requirements, and maintaining tender documentation and records. The Tendering Specialist will collaborate with sales, technical, and finance teams, communicate with clients and vendors, and track tender outcomes to support continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Engineering Degree in Mechanical/Electrical/Electronics/Civil or Mechatronics + MBA(Preferred)
• Candidates should possess strong tender management and procurement skills, including experience handling complete tender cycles and OEM coordination.
• Aware of e-procurement system in Pakistan, such as PPRA, EPADS 2.0 and on University Websites.
• Candidates should possess solid analytical skills, with the ability to review technical specifications, evaluate costs, and ensure accurate, data-driven proposals.
• Candidates should possess effective communication skills, including clear written and verbal communication and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Candidates should possess proposal writing skills, with experience drafting structured, persuasive, and compliant tender documents.
• Relevant qualifications such as a bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, finance, or a related field are preferred, along with proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel and Word).
• Attention to detail, time management, and the ability to handle multiple tenders simultaneously in a deadline-driven environment are important.
• Knowledge of public and private sector tendering procedures in Pakistan and experience in technical or equipment-based industries will be an advantage.
