Broadstone Technologies in Lahore is seeking a Technical Writer specializing in API and documentation to join our backend-oriented team. You will craft user guides, developer docs, release notes, and knowledge base articles for multiple SaaS platforms, collaborating with engineering, product, and QA.

You have 2+ years of tech writing, a strong portfolio, and proficiency with Confluence, Markdown, and Git. Experience with cybersecurity concepts and fintech familiarity is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in English, Technical Communication, Computer Science, Journalism, or related field.
• 2+ years of professional technical writing experience, preferably in cybersecurity, SaaS, fintech, or AI companies.
• Strong portfolio of published technical documentation, user guides, or API docs.

Responsibilities

• Write, edit, and maintain user guides, admin manuals, and knowledge base articles for SaaS platforms (Cytex, Veilix, Vesgo).
• Create and maintain API documentation (endpoints, authentication, request/response examples) for developer-facing products.
• Document security, compliance, and GRC workflows for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Produce release notes, changelogs, and product update documentation for each release.

Responsibilities

• Write, edit, and maintain user guides, admin manuals, and knowledge base articles for our SaaS platforms (Cytex, Veilix, Vesgo)


• Create and maintain API documentation (endpoints, authentication, request/response examples) for developer-facing products


• Document security, compliance, and GRC workflows in a way that's clear for both technical and non-technical stakeholders


• Produce release notes, changelogs, and product update documentation for each product release


• Collaborate with engineering, product, and QA teams to gather technical information and validate documentation accuracy


• Develop onboarding guides, FAQs, and troubleshooting documentation to reduce support tickets and improve user self-service


• Write internal technical documentation (architecture overviews, process docs, SOPs) for engineering and cross-functional teams


• Translate complex topics — AI/ML models, Zero Trust architecture, encryption, VPN protocols, compliance frameworks (SOC 2, ISO 27001, GDPR, etc.) — into accessible content


• Maintain documentation style guides and ensure consistency in tone, structure, and terminology across all technical content


• Work with design/UX teams to incorporate diagrams, screenshots, and visual aids into documentation


• Support the content and marketing teams with whitepapers, technical blog posts, and case studies when needed


• Keep documentation up to date as products evolve, working within a version-controlled documentation system


• Technical Skills


• Proven experience as a Technical Writer in an IT/software company (SaaS experience strongly preferred)


• Strong portfolio of published technical documentation, user guides, or API docs


• Excellent written English with the ability to simplify complex technical, cybersecurity, or AI concepts for varied audiences


• Experience writing API/developer documentation (REST APIs, SDKs, or similar)


• Familiarity with documentation tools such as Confluence, Notion, GitBook, MadCap Flare, or ReadMe


• Basic understanding of Markdown and version-controlled documentation workflows (e.g., docs-as-code, Git)


• Ability to work closely with engineers and product managers to extract and structure technical information accurately


• Familiarity with cybersecurity concepts — Zero Trust, VPN/encryption technologies, threat intelligence, identity & privacy protection


• Understanding of compliance and GRC (Governance, Risk & Compliance) terminology and frameworks (SOC 2, ISO 27001, GDPR, NIST, etc.)


• Basic familiarity with AI/ML concepts (agentic AI, AI co-pilots, model behavior) to accurately document AI-powered features


• Exposure to fintech terminology (digital payments, financial data security) is a plus, given our Vesgo product


• Comfort documenting technical products for both enterprise/B2B and consumer-facing (B2C) audiences

• Ability to manage multiple documentation projects and deadlines simultaneously


• Curious and proactive — comfortable asking engineers questions to fill in knowledge gaps
