Job summary

Oaktree Capital Management, L.P. seeks an Associate, Tech Strategy & Operations to support planning, reporting, and the operating rhythm of the Technology organization.

Based in India, the role reports to the MD, Tech Strategy & Operations in Los Angeles, and collaborates with local Technology leadership. You will build financial models, dashboards, and analyses that inform budget decisions, resource allocation, and performance metrics across regions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance/Accounting/Economics/Engineering or related quantitative discipline.
• 5+ years in financial planning/analysis, tech finance, or strategy roles; IT/tech exposure preferred.
• Strong financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, scenario analysis.
• Proficiency in Excel (advanced formulas, pivots) and Power BI.
• Experience with data sourcing, cleaning, and multi-system reconciliation.

Responsibilities

• Build, maintain, and improve financial and operational models for Technology budgets and long-range plans.
• Support annual planning and quarterly reforecast cycles with cross-functional inputs.
• Design and maintain Power BI dashboards and data models; own refresh pipelines.
• Translate data into clear executive summaries and business cases for senior stakeholders.
• Collaborate across Time Zones with teams in India, Los Angeles, and other locations.
