Job description
Overview

Location: Mohali, Punjab, India. Requisition Number: 41212.

Role Purpose: Will be responsible for full operational control and end-to-end contract entry and issuance activities. Responsible for people management across talent acquisition, optimization, and retention while supporting the business and guiding employees. Champion workload distribution to deliver Global KPIs of Trade Contract. Requires end-to-end visibility of commodity value chains to holistically define or change the operation model as required.

Responsibilities
  • Support and share insight on Budget planning; monitor daily contract entry and issuance to meet Global KPIs across all value chains.
  • Ensure global projects (e.g., CLM, DocuSign, SENDA) are successfully managed, rolled out, and implemented in the team.
  • Impart domain knowledge to the team to build a pool of SMEs; handle and resolve critical issues and propose solutions.
  • Provide support in process transitions and work on process stabilization; maintain well-defined controls, SOPs, and KPIs.
  • Lead and guide the team to effectively communicate and handle day-to-day operational activities with various stakeholders.
  • Handle succession planning, identify training needs, and develop resources to build a self-reliant and efficient team.
  • Liaise with legal and compliance on issues requiring special attention or exceptions and ensure timely resolution.
  • Track performance and drive best-in-class KPIs; review third-party issued contracts to ensure risk is well covered; ensure document retention per company policies and procedures.
  • Perform Month End Checks for the team and resolve accounting queries within deadlines.
  • Coordinate with the team to achieve self and team goals; manage work allocation and leaves plans; ensure control mechanisms and compliance checks are in place; ensure SOX and other statutory requirements are met and audits are clean.
  • Identify and propose process improvements per industry-leading practices; assist in designing the Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) tool as per organizational requirements; manage changes in CLM and implement them.
  • Lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT); handle exceptions and perform root cause analysis to prevent recurring issues.
  • Provide guidance and support to the team and share best practices for talent optimization and retention.
Knowledge and Skills
  • Behavior: Improve business outcomes with data-driven decisions; keep customer focus; align with global strategy; collaborate and communicate effectively; take initiative and adapt to change.
  • Technical: Experience handling entry and issuance of commodity contracts for bulk and container shipments of Agri-commodities; strong knowledge of GAFTA, FOSFA contract rules; understanding of contract lifecycle, Incoterms, logistics and shipping documents; ability to work independently and produce high-quality output under time pressure.
  • Experience in managing people and processes through change; strong written and oral English communication; knowledge of additional languages is a plus.
  • Computer proficiency including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook; experience with SAP; familiarity with Bunge processes and systems.
