Job summary

Ernst & Young Advisory Services Sdn Bhd in Karachi seeks a Senior Associate to support Tax - Accounting Compliance & Reporting. You will assist in year-end closings, tax compliance, and financial statement preparation across client engagements.

The role emphasizes quality, risk management, and leadership of junior staff to uphold EY’s Tax Quality guidelines while delivering integrated services.

Qualifications

• A bachelor's degree with strong credentials in accounting, business, finance, taxation or related essential fields.
• Preferably an MBA, Masters or professional qualifications (CA, CPA, ACCA, CTA, ADIT) or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in a large professional services firm or similar.
• Extensive knowledge of Financial Reporting Standards and tax rules and guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with year-end closings, audits, financial statements, and tax compliance.
• Prepare and interpret corporate tax returns and VAT returns; general accounting work.
• Manage client engagements, monitor deliverables, and identify risks.
• Supervise teams, coach juniors, and ensure Tax Quality guidelines are followed.
