Job summary

Ernst & Young Advisory Services Sdn Bhd in Karachi is seeking a Senior Tax professional to lead compliance and reporting engagements. You will oversee tax returns, VAT work and financial statement preparation, coordinating with regional EY teams to deliver high-quality services.

The role emphasizes multi-country collaboration, risk management, and adherence to EY Tax Quality guidelines, with opportunities for coaching junior staff and driving process improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, finance, taxation or related field.
• MBA or professional qualifications (CA/CPA/ACCA/CTA/ADIT) or equivalent.
• Minimum 4+ years of relevant experience in a large professional services firm or similar.
• In-depth knowledge of Financial Reporting Standards and tax rules.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with clients and internal teams to manage deadlines and engagement economics.
• Assist with financial digital processes, year-end closings, audit support and tax compliance.
• Manage budgets, analytical bookkeeping, and management reports.
• Lead staffing, risk mitigation and contract management for large projects across the region.
